Product Overview

The Scan Room Interface 4 (SRI4) is a core component of the Patient Handling Sub-System. It interfaces with many other components in the sub-system, including a Motion Control Power Distribution Board (MCPDB), an Operator Display Panel, Dock Assembly, Resonant Module Sensors, Touch and Go Landmarking Module, Table Box Interface and other Magnet Peripherals. The SRI4 has fiber optic communications for both Controller Area Network (CAN) and RS232 Serial communication. The SRI4 communicates over the Controller Area Network (CAN) to the system through a CAN Fiber Optic Board and is powered by the Patient Handling Power Supply. The SRI4 assembly houses the Remote Intercom3 board (RI3) which is connected through a board-to-board connector. It provides patient communication with baseline performance and does not require the SRI4 to be powered-up and active. The Remote Intercom3 board (RI3) defaults to safe mode settings while the SRI4 is in a firmware download, stand-by state, or powered down. The assembly is enclosed in a metal enclosure to protect the boards inside and can be used with Optima and Signa Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems.
