Product Overview
The Collimator Kit comes as a part of the collimator of the radiographic systems used for imaging method diagnosis using X-Rays. A stream of electrons produced by X-Ray tube is accelerated to high velocities by an external high-voltage supply and collide with the target anode in the tube. The beam formed is focused on the patient, and X-Rays emerging from the patient carry the image information which can be stored in a film. A device, collimator is provided to narrow the rays such that a parallel beam of rays is created which are aligned in a direction. In other words, it filters the rays. This manually operated collimator shall provide X-Ray beam limiting in accordance with DHHS regulations (regulations for the administration and enforcement of the Radiation Control for Health and Safety Act of 1968, enforced by DHHS through the Bureau of Radiological Health) when used with mobile radiographic equipment.
